TEAM NU REGISTRATION – 2027 CANADA WINTER GAMES

REGISTRATION OPENS: OCTOBER 15, 2026
DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 15, 2026

All Team Nunavut participants attending the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Quebec City are required to complete the Team NU registration process.​ This applies to Mission Staff, coaches, managers, team staff, and athletes.
​
Registration consists of three required steps:
​
1. GEMS Registration Portal
All participants must complete their registration through the Canada Games GEMS Registration Portal. This collects the information required for accreditation and participation at the Games.

2. Team NU Code of Conduct & Consent Waivers
All participants must review and complete the required Team Nunavut Code of Conduct and Consent Waivers. These documents outline participant responsibilities, expectations, and required permissions while representing Team Nunavut.

3. Canada Games Anti-Doping Education
All participants must complete the required Canada Games Anti-Doping Education before attending the Games.

COMPLETING YOUR GEMS REGISTRATION
We ask all Team Nunavut participants to take their time and complete their GEMS registration as thoroughly and accurately as possible.
Please complete your GEMS registration only once.
Before starting, make sure you have the information and photo you will need. While we encourage participants to complete as much of their profile as possible, the following information is particularly important:

Full Legal Name - Enter your full legal name exactly as it appears on your government-issued identification. Please double-check spelling before submitting.
Headshot Photo - Upload a clear, current headshot that will be used for your Games accreditation.
Your photo should:
1) ​Have a plain white background
2) Show you from the top of your chest and up
3) Clearly show your faceHave NO hats, sunglasses, toques, or hoods

General Information - Please complete all fields in the General Information section and ensure the information provided is accurate.
​
Emergency Contact Information - Provide complete and current emergency contact information.
Personal Medical Information - Complete all requested personal medical information. Please ensure this information is accurate and up to date.
Dietary Restrictions - Identify any dietary restrictions or requirements you may have.
This information is important as it will be used when arranging meals on Team NU charter flights and by the Canada Games to help provide appropriate meals during the Games.
Biographical / Media Profile - This section is not mandatory, but we strongly encourage you to complete it.
The information may assist commentators and media if your matches or events are streamed or broadcast with commentary during the Canada Winter Games. A completed profile helps them share more information about you and your sport.
Statistical Information - Please complete the Statistical Information section. This information assists Canada Games with Games reporting and participant statistics.
Canada Games Consent - Canada Games has its own Consent requirements within GEMS. Please review and complete all required consent information.
Password
When setting up your GEMS account, you will create a password.
Please remember the email address and password you used. You may need to log back into GEMS before or during the registration process to review or update your information.
